Thank you for choosing KAKKAVO! This website and online storefront are operated under the registered trade name The house of Kakkavo. We take the utmost care in crafting our homemade, small-batch artisanal chocolates. Because chocolate is a highly temperature-sensitive product, we have partnered with Shiprocket, India's leading logistics aggregator, to ensure your orders are dispatched through the fastest and most reliable courier partners available.

1. Production & Dispatch Timelines

Handcrafted in Small Batches: Because our premium chocolates are lovingly made in an artisanal, homemade factory setup without mass-production industrial machinery, your order is often packed fresh or crafted specifically upon receipt.
Dispatch Window: All orders are carefully prepared, safely insulated, and dispatched within 2 to 3 business days from our production facility (excluding Sundays and National Holidays).
Order Tracking: You will receive a real-time notification via SMS, Email, or WhatsApp with your unique Shiprocket tracking details and Air Waybill (AWB) number the moment your order is handed over to our courier partner.

2. Estimated Delivery Timelines (Pan-India)

Once dispatched through the Shiprocket network, delivery timelines vary depending on your location across India:

Please Note: These timelines are estimated service-level agreements (SLAs) provided by our courier network. While we strive to deliver ahead of schedule, occasional transit delays due to extreme regional weather, festivals, or structural transit issues are outside of our immediate control.

3. Shipping Charges

Shipping fees are dynamically calculated at the checkout page based on the total volumetric weight of the package and the destination PIN code, in complete alignment with standard Shiprocket weight slabs.
All prices displayed on our storefront are in Indian Rupees (INR) and are inclusive of GST.

4. Temperature-Controlled & Protective Packaging

To withstand transit across varied Indian climate zones, KAKKAVO uses specialized, protective thermal layers.
Chocolates are secured using insulated thermal wrap and/or re-usable food-grade ice-gel packs to minimize melting risks during hot transit conditions.
Important Recommendation: We highly recommend that someone is physically present to receive the package on the very first delivery attempt. This prevents the chocolate from sitting in local courier delivery vans or un-conditioned local delivery hubs for extended periods.

5. Delivery Attempts & Order Abandonment (Strict NDR Rules)

Through Shiprocket's automated dispatch ecosystem, our courier partners will attempt delivery up to a maximum of 3 times.

Real-time Alerts: Shiprocket will send an automated WhatsApp/SMS notification to the buyer if a delivery attempt fails due to "Customer Unavailable", "Door Locked", or "Incorrect Address".
Action Window: The buyer must respond or provide a corrected delivery address/landmark via the provided communication link within 24 hours of the first failed attempt.
Non-Delivery & Abandonment: If the customer is unreachable, repeatedly unavailable, or fails to provide an updated address within the 24-hour window, the shipment will be permanently abandoned and disposed of by the logistics hub at the destination.
No Return to Origin (RTO): Due to the highly perishable nature of fresh chocolates, products are not shipped back to our factory. Consequently, abandoned shipments due to customer unavailability or faulty address mapping are not eligible for monetary refunds, store credits, or free reshipments.
Any subsequent request to ship a fresh batch will be treated as a entirely new order and will attract full product manufacturing and shipping charges.

6. Shipment Tracking

You can trace your sweet cargo at every phase of its journey. Once shipped, you can track your order status directly on our Shopify store portal or by inputting your AWB tracking number on the official Shiprocket Tracking Portal.
